At Elite Movement Chiropractic Clinic, we help our patients from Petoskey, MI, and the surrounding areas become Elite Movers. Meet Dr. Garrett Kuhlman
Dr. Kuhlman came to chiropractic in a different fashion than most. Because of his love of sports, health, and fitness, his original plan was to become a Strength and Conditioning coach. Following this path, he spent a summer internship with the athletics program at Ohio State University. Over the course of the internship, he had the opportunity to work with the team chiropractor and became captivated by the profession. After this introduction to chiropractic, he was fully determined to make it his future.
However, Dr. Kuhlman still makes sports rehabilitation a focus of his practice. He finished his post doctoral work to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) in 2018, and therefore offers a more comprehensive sports injury practice, handling a wide range of injuries and ailments.
In Dr. Kuhlman’s Words…
“Chiropractic is a fascinating profession. It is a frontrunner in the shifting paradigm of how we view pain, dysfunction, health, and fitness. Too often we are focused on the site of the pain rather than the function of the overall system. More times than not, the area of pain is simply a compensation for a dysfunction elsewhere!
The fun part, and true challenge, is finding the underlying dysfunction and correcting it to fix the cause of the pain, not just cover it up.”
Meet Tara, Front Desk Manager
Outside of work, she shares life’s best moments with her boyfriend, DeJuan, their lively Jack Russell Terrier named Cannoli, and their cat, Kevin — who keeps everyone on their toes. She enjoys playing chess in her spare time and loves the cozy charm of northern Michigan during the fall.
At Elite Movement Chiropractic Clinic, Tara is the first friendly face you’ll see and the key to your smooth and stress-free visit. she will oversee the daily flow of the office—welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling check-ins and check-outs, verifying insurance, and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed with care and precision. With a strong focus on hospitality, organization, and efficiency, Tara helps create a positive and professional environment where healing and wellness come first.
